State Flip Flops on Death Sentence

It appears that the state of Florida can't seem to make up it's mind on the death sentence for Casey Anthony. On the 13th of April the state attorney signed a notice of intent stating that they will now be seeking the death penalty for Casey. The letter is available for all to see here. Looks like the reason they're changing their minds is to get notorious lawyer, Jose Baez, off the case as he is not certified to defend a capital punishment case.

Taking these steps to dismiss her current lawyer effectively nullifies her ability to choose her defense attorney, does it not? To put that another way, would O.J. Simpson have gotten away with it if they had taken Johnnie Cochrane off the case? Most likely not. This could essentially determine the outcome of her case.

So far that seems to be all this is about. A three ringed media circus convincing viewers that Casey is already guilty before the trial begins. What ever happened to rights? The right to a fair trial? The right to her attorney?
